How to Defeat Drift

An airplane on a cross country flight needs to regularly adjust its heading throughout the journey or else it will end up miles off course.

Similarly with our martial arts practices, we need to train with our masters regularly or our technique could get off course. We’re not always aware of our own drift.

This happens in our daily lives, too.

Maybe you were eating really healthy for a while and feeling great, but over time you started treating yourself here and there and now you’re having donuts for breakfast every day.

Or maybe you were connecting with loved ones regularly, but then you got busy and got out of the habit and now you’re feeling disconnected.

Like training with our masters to get our training back on track, we need to regularly check in with what’s important to us to keep our lives on track.

What’s important to you? What are your goals? How do you want to show up in the world?

Make a plan to defeat the drift.
